Alliance Safety Council

Alliance Safety Council began 65 years ago with a staff of only three people.

Today, we are one of the nation’s largest workplace safety training councils, with five state-of-the-art facilities in Baton Rouge, Gonzales, Addis, Sulphur and Walker, LA, dozens of network partners, more than 100 skilled team members and over 1,300 innovative training courses.

ARA – American Rental Association

The American Rental Association (ARA), located in Moline, Ill., is the international nonprofit trade association for equipment rental businesses and manufacturers and suppliers of rental equipment. 

Founded in 1955, ARA is the world’s leading source for information and research, business resources, education, risk management, government affairs, networking and marketplace opportunities for the equipment rental industry. ARA supports industry success and growth through products, services, events and administration of affiliated organizations.

ATA - Advanced Textiles Association

Advanced Textiles Association (ATA) is a not-for-profit trade association comprised of member companies representing the international specialty fabrics marketplace. Member companies range in size from one-person fabrication shops to multinational corporations. Members’ products cover the broad spectrum of advanced, specialty and technical textiles and include fibers, fabrics, end products, equipment and hardware and more. ATA is the largest, most comprehensive trade association serving this industry, and provides value to its members in many ways.

CSC - Contractors Safety Council of the Coastal Bend

Contractors Safety Council of the Coastal Bend, Inc. is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit training and education organization located in Corpus Christi, Texas, CSCCB delivers safety training and site-specific job safety orientations to contractors, as well as employees of 11 local Refining and Chemical plants. Roots of the organization are firmly entrenched in the Petro-Chemical and refining Industry. With cutting-edge technology, CSCCB also responds to the challenge of other industries by applying its acquired regulatory and compliance expertise in training; this results in reductions in cost while improving the quality of required training and documentation.

DISA has been providing innovative workplace safety and compliance services for over 25 years. They are a global provider with a client base of approximately 11,000 client companies around the world. Their services are specifically designed to promote workplace health and safety while utilizing today’s most advanced technologies. DISA is highly committed to quality and service excellence and is ISO 9001:2008 certified.

HASC – Health & Safety Council

The Health and Safety Council™ (HASC™) is a 501(c)3 trade association that serves the Texas Gulf Coast and beyond. With a comprehensive offering of industry solutions, we facilitate and simplify the training process for employers to ensure training is consistent and verifiable. We serve 3,000 member companies and an additional 12,000 non-member companies, providing a wide range of integrated industry solutions.

The vision of the Health and Safety Council™ is to create a comprehensive safety ecosystem for the industrial community, with the goal of creating and fostering a safety-focused culture that will result in the achievement of zero harm to personnel and the ultimate preservation of life. To achieve this vision, HASC™ facilitates the multiple and varied needs of Owners/Operators and Contractors, and works closely with the world’s premier subject matter experts to deliver exceptional training solutions.

ISTC - Industrial Safety Training Council

The International Safety Training Council is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit training and education organization located in Southeast Texas.  ISTC delivers safety training and site-specific job safety orientations to contractors, as well as the employees of 76 local Refining and Chemical plants. The roots of the organization are firmly entrenched in the highly regulated Petrochemical and Refining industry. With cutting-edge technology ISTC also responds to the challenge of other industries by applying their acquired regulatory and compliance expertise in training. The results are reductions in cost while improving the quality of required training and documentation.

LCIA – Louisiana Chemical Industry Alliance

Founded in 1990, the Louisiana Chemical Industry Alliance (LCIA) is a partnership between plants and suppliers, representing more than 600 members with thousands of employees from Louisiana’s petrochemical industry and related businesses.  It is 22 years old and is governed by 12 top supplier/contractor executives and 11 chemical plant managers.

The LCIA promotes the interests of the chemical industry and related businesses by impacting the legislative process, as well as regulatory agencies, to promote a healthy, globally competitive and growing contractor and supplier community.

TCC – TEXAS Chemistry Alliance

The Texas Chemistry Alliance (TCA) was founded in 1983 and is a strong voice for the chemical industry and a leading advocate for preserving the chemical industry’s economic vitality.

Mission Statement:  To enhance the economic health of the Texas chemical industry and its related businesses.

TCA represents both large and small businesses ranging from chemical manufacturers, suppliers, contractors, and a variety of service companies that are vital to the Texas chemical industry.

TCA members provide a support system crucial to maintaining a strong economy for the chemical industry in Texas.

TCC – TEXAS Chemistry COUNCIL

Texas Chemistry Council (TCC) is a statewide trade
association of chemical manufacturing facilities in Texas. TCC represents 65
member companies who operate over 200 manufacturing and research facilities
across the state. 

Organized in 1953, TCC was the first state trade association
in the U.S. to represent the interests of the petrochemical industry. The
primary concern then was to present a unified position on state tax
policy.  As the chemical industry grew in size and importance in Texas,
TCC expanded its representation of the chemical industry on other important
issues including environmental protection, employee and process safety, energy
policy, and tort reform.

TCC members produce thousands of products that improve the
quality of life for billions of people around the world.  The Texas
Chemical industry directly employs more than 80,000 Texans and indirectly
generates nearly a half-million Texas jobs.

TRA – TEXAS RENTAL ASSOCIATION

The Texas Rental Association is a subsidiary of the American Rental Association — the leading source and resource for information on the equipment rental industry. 

The Texas Rental Association provides an invaluable level of local support by keeping one informed of important state legislative and regulatory issues, providing local educational opportunities and organizing networking events.

TWIC – Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC®)

The Transportation Worker Identification Credential, also known as TWIC®, is required by the Maritime Transportation Security Act for workers who need access to secure areas of the nation’s maritime facilities and vessels. TSA conducts a security threat assessment (background check) to determine a person’s eligibility and issues the credential. U.S. citizens and immigrants in certain immigration categories may apply for the credential. Most mariners licensed by the U.S. Coast Guard also require a credential.

VPPPA – Voluntary Protection Programs Participants' Association

The Voluntary Protection Programs Participants’ Association, Inc. (VPPPA) is the leader in helping worksites achieve continuous improvement toward their occupational safety and health goals. Our members are champions of safety and health excellence, experiencing fewer workplace fatalities, injuries, and illnesses. VPPPA members, at more than 1,500 worksites and 250,000 full-time employees, strive for the continued betterment of their workplace culture to ensure every worker makes it home safely.

We provide national and regional advocacy, education, and resources to support the advancement of our members, their worksites, and the OH&S profession.
